My Bio
Born and raised near Chicago as a free roaming child. The outdoors was where most of the day was spent and nature was the canvas that could be changed everyday.

Afternoons and evenings were spent watching Monsters, Muppets, and cartoons, and inspired countless imaginative marvels and escapades. One day you might be having tea with an invisible man or heading to Hollywood with a banjo playing frog or steamboat steering mouse, the next might be spent running from tripods in London or giant pterodactyls in Tokyo.

Nowadays, when not not traveling in a TARDIS, visiting the 999 Happy Haunts, or sending a card to the Other Mother, time is spent educating and designing.

Some of you may have noticed that the last few submissions have been related to Middle-Earth. There's a good reason for that. I've started a new blog, with my brother, called "Field Guide to Literary Creatures," as we both have always been absolutely inspired by and drawn to the fantastic creatures that haunt the pages of literature. Sometimes we never get to see these creatures, but our imaginations create them in our mind's eye. I see this as a chance to do two things: 1) share the amazing books, novels, and short stories that I have loved and grown up with 2) share my art and the creatures that live in my mind So take a look here: h

The new year is here. Lots of things have come and gone, but the new year is for new beginnings. I've decided to try and challenge myself to draw almost everyday and try to get a new series going on a weekly basis. But I do have to finish another series as well. Hopefully that will happen very soon. The initial drawings are already to go, it's now just a matter of working on them digitally. It's taken some time, especially with the holidays, to get those images ready to go. I also have a very distinct way of working on projects. If something I'm working on doesn't feel right, I usually don't work on it much longer. That's not to say it ge

I had so much fun doing the first set of Muppet/Monster Mash-ups that I think I'm going to do some more. I was afraid the inspiration had left for some new ones, but it came back full swing. Having Halloween just pass helped, as I re-watched a ton of my favorite old B&W films. I think I'm ready to tackle some more! They might come slowly, but you can bet I'll be working on them. I never force myself to make the mash-ups work, they just manifest themselves in odd moments. Which is great! So be ready for some more Muppet/Monster mayhem! . . . and some more obscure Muppet moments in poster form.

Do you do requests? Because I have one featuring a Muppets version of the band Genesis. I got the inspiration from their music video "Land of Confusion." It also featured caricatures of the band for the series "Spitting Image." The members of the band are Tony Banks, Phil Collins and Mike Rutherford. If you're interested, please reply.

Hi! That's a very fun idea! Unfortunately, at this time I am not taking requests.
